To-Gather house is part of the green finger development of the city. Contributing to the revitalization of the walking city. The site functions as highlighted destination connected to the river front.

Community Building Programs

Community programs of the neighborhood at all levels are scattered throughout the neighborhood to promote more interaction between residents. Community Development programs are concentrated in the tower building due to its simplest form of amenities equipped within individual units, using(slightly forcing) needs of the certain program to help residents interact. Community Strengthening programs encourage residents with a similar lifestyle to gather upon common interests. And Community Outreach programs are designed to meet the descending level of the street to lower the barrier of access from outside of the neighborhood while other programs are vertically distanced to limit public access.

The City

The ultimate community does not merely delineate itself to the residents of the site, but also expands and plugs itself into the larger community of the city through programs opened for users outside the neighborhood. These programs outreach to a larger audience.

Site Development

The development is comprised of three different types of residential buildings: a studio and one-bed tower, mid-sized mid-rise apartment, and townhouses. The layout of different building types corresponds to the surrounding environment such as solar paths, noise level, adjacent building types, and the city zoning plan. The mix of building types draws different types of residents varying in family organization, income, occupations, and life styles which diversifies and vitalizes the neighborhood. Estimated costs and prospected facilities of the neighborhood compensate for one another, resulting in higher quality of living experience for the lower cost.

Micro Units

 

 

The tower building is located adjacent to the Jefferson Avenue with retail spaces and transportation transit on the ground level. The tower building provides studio units and one-bed apartment units targeting single or couple. With largest FAR(floor area ratio), the building is equipped with the largest number of community facilities, from supporting amenities such as laundry rooms, full kitchen, and hangout space for the residents of small units to yoga rooms, party room, and indoor garden for the whole community.

Apartment Units

The apartment units are comprised of flexible floor plans, allowing myriad possibilities suiting varying lifestyles. Units are mainly defined by the core facility shafts, and occupants can form and organize the space freely via furniture and interior walls.

Townhouse Units


Townhouse units are targeted to accommodate a larger family. The houses are three-stories tucked into the parking podium of the site and the front opening of the building meets the ground, fully utilizing the existing ground level drop of the surrounding site. The first floor of the unit is connected to the residence parking podium with their separate garage spaces as well as to the front common yard of the neighborhood. The second floor of the units is connected to the podium level, allowing users to have backyards on their second level which coincides with the green podium garden. Townhouses can also accommodate the work-and-live form of living due to its independent floor layout of each floor.
