CREATIVE CENTER

TBWA Headquarters

The site is at the boundary between different city scales. Also, the level drop from the designated block to the small-scaled village can be observed. Different context around the site brings different types of users and can be largely categorized into three. The triangular shape of the building plan has the benefit of effectively relating to different contexts.

Design Creativity

The Creative Center Building has two distinctive feature dissimilar to conventional high-rise buildings. 

 

One, varying floor-to-ceiling heights. Three types of floor-to-ceiling heights are distributed through the building corresponding to the main purpose of each floor.

Two, three main facades of the building are different and follow own facade design reacting to the sun path. The east wall has four types of concaved green space plan alternating randomly by floors. The west wall has two types of concaved green space plan alternating each floor. Resultingly, each office floor is unique, none being the same.

Triangular Floor Plan

In triangle floor plans, different functioning spaces can coexist with less interfere with each other.

Facades

 

 

The Creative Center Building has three main facades and three transition facades. Each facade demonstrates different theme in term of the spatial program, the function. The cladding is designed according to the sun paths. Except for the north facade, other two sides are equipped with pocketed green space, penetrating indoor office space.
